What batch verification actually checks

Every vial that leaves Codex Research carries a batch number, and every batch has its own certificate of analysis. The lookup above confirms three things: that the batch number exists in our records, which compound and strength it corresponds to, and which analytical tests were run on it.

It is a traceability check, not a test result in itself. The underlying document is the certificate of analysis, which we send in full on request before you pay.

Where to find your batch number

The batch number is printed on the vial label, under the compound name, in the format CDX-YYMM-NNN — for example CDX-2607-001. The same number appears on the certificate of analysis for that batch. If the two do not match, the certificate does not belong to the vial you are holding.

Batch-specific versus generic certificates

A certificate of analysis is only meaningful when it is tied to the batch in your hand. A generic certificate shows what the compound looked like on some production run, which may not be the one you received. A batch-specific certificate reports the tests run on that particular lot, and its batch number matches your label.

This is the difference worth checking with any supplier: ask whether the certificate is for your batch number, and whether the testing laboratory is independent of the seller.

What the tests are

Two analytical methods carry most of the weight on a peptide certificate:

• High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) separates the sample into its components and measures how much of the total corresponds to the target peptide. This is where a purity figure such as 99% comes from. What 99% by HPLC means.
• Mass spectrometry measures the molecular mass of what was actually in the vial and compares it against the expected mass of the compound. HPLC says how pure, mass spectrometry says whether it is the right molecule. How mass spectrometry is used.

If your batch number does not come up

Check for typos first: the format is three letters, a four-digit year and month, and a three-digit sequence. If it still does not resolve, send us a photograph of the label on WhatsApp and we will trace it. A number that does not exist in our records is not a Codex Research batch.

Questions about batch verification

Is the certificate of analysis specific to my batch?

Yes. Each batch is tested separately and has its own certificate, identified by the same batch number printed on the vial label.

Who runs the testing?

An independent third-party laboratory, using HPLC and mass spectrometry. We do not test our own material and report on it.

Can I see the certificate before paying?

Yes. Ask for it on WhatsApp with your batch number, or with the compound name if you have not ordered yet, and we send the full document.

What does 99% purity by HPLC mean?

It means that in the chromatographic separation, 99% of the area measured corresponds to the target peptide. It is a measure of how much of the sample is the intended compound relative to other species detected by the method.

Does a batch number prove the vial is genuine?

It proves the number belongs to a real batch of ours and tells you what that batch was. Combined with the certificate for that same number, it is the strongest check available short of testing the material yourself.
